The flying
C172H, Iberian skies, serious hobby
PH-RPB is a Cessna 172H — the classic high-wing trainer and tourer. Most flying is practical VFR across Spain: navigation practice, hour building, and trips that are worth planning properly. This site documents that mindset: structured briefings, performance numbers from the POH, and tools that support safe decisions before the prop turns.
PH-RPB — a little history
Built in 1968 at Reims, France, this airframe was originally delivered to the Rijkspolitie in the Netherlands. After its service there, it passed through several private owners until I bought it in 2025. Since then it has undergone a full refurbishment of structure, controls, electrics, and instrumentation.
Power comes from a Continental O-300-D — a six-cylinder, 145 HP engine built under license by Rolls-Royce in the United Kingdom.

Shared flights
Fly along — cost-sharing
I regularly fly two- to three-hour VFR trips from Granada across Spain, for cross-country experience and hour building. Under EASA cost-sharing rules (Part-NCO), occupants may share the direct operating costs of a specific flight — fuel, landing fees, and similar expenses — on a voluntary basis. This is not commercial carriage: I hold a private pilot license and do not profit from these flights.
If you would like to come along, you join a real cross-country sortie — the same kind of flight I fly for my own time building, not a staged joyride. That means proper planning and briefing, hands-on involvement where appropriate, and several hours getting a close look at how VFR navigation works in practice — often including a landing at another airfield, depending on the trip.
